Indonesian Tower has always put a strong emphasis on good relations with local governments and institutional land owners, which makes us a significant strategic partner for many regional administrations. In 2008, we have achieved Cooperation Agreements with 112 local governments and 10 landowners. In the future, it is expected that more and more regencies will enter into cooperation agreements with Indonesian Tower, as they come to clearly recognize the benefits of working closely with Indonesian Tower. |
To support of partnerships, we have developed CELL PLANNING — a tower placement plan – facing the challenges of urban and rural landscape planning and operator network coverage requirements. The implementation of Cell Planning becomes a win-win solution by accommodating the needs of both local government and the operator.
In Sidoarjo, East Java, for example, there are 283 existing telecommunication towers. With Cell Planning, we need only 177 shared towers with greater area coverage of that region.

Our intermediary role as a Strategic Partner has been welcomed by many parties. In partnership with Indonesian Tower, local governments are able to gain an additional source of regular income. Institutional land owners such as forestry corporations and large plantations have also embraced cooperation with Indonesian Tower because it allows them to open a new stream of revenue from their land assets while providing them with the added benefit of mobile communication coverage.
